EXPLORE A NEARBY BEACH
Unless you’re visiting during the colder months between December and February, you will probably experience warm enough weather and calm enough seas to enjoy our many beaches. We recommend using the Which Beach website to guide you on where best to go based on your personal requirements, such as accessibility and what you prefer most between rocky and sandy beaches. If you’re after unique and slightly secluded areas, we suggest the Coral Lagoon in Mellieħa or Qarraba Bay in Imġarr.
SPEND A DAY IN THE CAPITAL CITY
Valletta offers rich history and architecture at every corner, with countless churches and museums worth exploring, some dating as far back as the 16th century. You will also find an abundance of coffee shops, restaurants and bars of every kind. Some of the capital’s hidden gems include the world’s oldest record shop called D’Amato, the Upper Barrakka Gardens with an indescribable view of the whole Grand Harbour, as well as the gorgeous arts centre Spazju Kreattiv which also houses an indie cinema.
DEDICATE ANOTHER DAY TO MDINA
Our former capital Mdina, lovingly referred to as the Silent City, is an absolute must-visit. As you step into what feels like a Medieval movie set, which in fact amongst other places in the Maltese islands was once a backdrop for the Game of Thrones series, you can fully immerse yourself in over 4000 years of history. This fortified landmark situated high up towards the north of Malta boasts interactive museums, authentic restaurants and cosy wine bars. And it’s even more special to experience and explore after dark!
SORT OUT SOME SHOPPING
A stone’s throw away from our hotel you can find an array of malls to suit practically any taste. Just a 10 minute walk from Hotel Juliani towards the St Julian’s nightlife hub of Paceville, you will find the newly constructed Mercury Towers. In a few more minutes, as you head towards St. George’s Bay, you can also find Baystreet Shopping Complex. The Sliema area, which neighbours St Julian’s, is home to an endless variety of retail outlets as well, including two more malls called The Plaza and Tigne Point.
SOAK UP THE JULIANI EXPERIENCE
Here at Juliani, we can provide you a home away from home. So what better way to enjoy your short trip to Malta than to make the utmost use of our facilities? The Level 9 rooftop pool is open all year round to hotel guests, and in summer it is open every evening till late offering Asian nibbles and drinks to the spellbinding night-lit view of Spinola Bay.
We have a top notch fitness centre, an extremely relaxing spa complete with a sauna, a quiet board room that you can book for meetings, as well as the possibility of room service from the comfort of your own room and balcony. Additionally, we recommend enjoying our Cafe’s daily happy hour at 6pm, as well as live music entertainment every Wednesday and Friday evening at our Michelin-recommended restaurant ZEST.
